“I am obsessed - I love them!! You are so talented Dzesika!! Thank you so much for capturing everything so perfectly. You captured everything I hoped for and more. Five stars all round…”

— Miriam + Tim

When I first arrived and walked up the stairs, this is how the girls greeted me.
I quickly said, “Please don’t move!” while I grabbed my
Leica and quickly focused.

For people who really don’t want to pose for photographs, I take opportunities while they are doing something else to take a portrait. For example, here Miriam is waiting while the officiant is signing their papers. These opportunities are great for portraits because the subject is in a relaxed state.

Miriam and Tim told me they would like their portraits to be done very simply. Nothing dramatic, just family heirloom type photographs.

When the groom’s hair is this nice it needs to be documented.

When I spoke to Miriam on the phone prior to their wedding day, she told me about this formal photograph of her friend’s parents that hung on their wall. She asked if we could replicate it on their wedding day. She drew out the photograph and sent it to me, and you will see our recreation of the idea beside it.
